Healthcare has always been Stacey Shaw’s calling. Inspired by her love for her grandparents, who she helped care for in their later years, Stacey knew she wanted to provide that same level of compassion to others facing the challenges of older age. “Everyone deserves to be well cared for,” she said.

Now the Health Services Manager at Heather Glen, Stacey has been part of the Ardenwoods family for more than 14 years, taking on various healthcare roles throughout her tenure. In her new management position, she oversees the nursing and clinical departments, including CNAs, medical technicians and all aspects of resident care. She helps ensure residents receive consistent, compassionate and high-quality care each day.

“My favorite part of the job is the residents,” she explained. “I love being there for them and making sure they are taken care of, especially when their families are not able to be here themselves.”

Completing numerous leadership and preventative care training sessions prior to her new role, Stacey feels both well-prepared and excited to take on the added responsibilities of managing teams and supporting staff.

“Everyone is welcome in my office, whether it’s to ask questions, have a serious talk or a casual chat,” she said. “I love getting to know everyone and really care about our residents and our team. My door is always open.”

Outside of work, Stacey enjoys traveling — especially international trips — spending time with her daughter and fiancé and planning her family’s next adventure. “I’m getting ready to go to Cabo on Valentine’s Day weekend, so I’m really looking forward to that,” she said.
