If you're looking for a place where you can continue doing the things you enjoy —and virtually none of the things you don't — look no further than Ardenwoods. We offer all the amenities and services you'd hope to find at a larger community with endless opportunities to pursue your interests. Unlike a large community, however, our smaller size makes it easier to connect with others and make new friends. It won't be long before you feel right at home.
We want you to enjoy a long, healthy life. It's why we offer a range of wellness services and programs that contribute to overall health.
It all adds up to a happier, healthier you.
It should come as no surprise that hiking the three trails on our campus is a favorite activity for residents (and their furry friends). You can also join the walking club for weekly rambles in the North Carolina Arboretum. Want to scratch a creative itch? Head to our art studio or woodworking shop, or hop on our bus to attend a play or visit a gallery. Whatever your interests, we encourage you to pursue them. It's a great way to meet new people, make new friends and feel part of our community.
“When I made the transition, I knew that I wasn’t going to cut off the rest of my life, so I wanted to continue living my life, just the way I did, and just see what else AW had to offer. All of a sudden I had more free time, because I wasn’t doing as many chores. All of a sudden, my calendar which was already full, was getting fuller, because there was so many things to choose from at AW. It didn’t really change my life, it enhanced it.”
