Known for her kindness and creativity, Ardenwoods Marketing Coordinator Erika Hoosier wears many hats at Ardenwoods.
Originally from Wilmington, Delaware, Erika settled in the Western North Carolina mountains while attending Appalachian State University.
At Ardenwoods, Erika’s primary role is transitioning residents into the community as smoothly as possible. She enjoys establishing relationships with the new residents and their families while sharing what makes Ardenwoods special. Her work also allows her to dive into interior design, work with contractors and other tasks.
“Establishing peace between the new residents, families and their new home is very rewarding,” Erika said. “We stand out compared to other senior living communities for many reasons, but also because of our mountain location. I love sharing my passion for residing in the area.”
Erika also expresses her creative side while juggling numerous marketing events, for which she plans the food, manages RSVPs, nametags, signage and other various aspects of each event.
To Erika, Ardenwoods is special because “we are like one big family here, the residents and the employees,” she explained. “Everyone is beyond supportive. We all look out for each other.”
From helping residents move in to attending various events, Erika gets to know her fair share of residents and looks forward to meeting each new individual that steps foot on campus.
When Erika is not at Ardenwoods, she enjoys boating on Lake James and trying new restaurants with her friends. Two of her favorites are Post 25 Kitchen & Lounge in Arden and Crave Dessert Bar in downtown Asheville.
Thank you, Erika, for making Ardenwoods such a welcoming home for countless residents!
